October's Paper Pumpkin

I had so much fun with the Paper Pumpkin kit that came this month! It's the first time since I've signed up for Paper Pumpkin that the ideas started flowing the moment I opened the box! Maybe it just takes time, maybe it's just that great!

Here is the picture on the front of the instruction sheet that came with it this time:

And I am all excited!  They even sent more pictures of other things you could make with it!

So here is the picture of 1 of the pie boxes I made. I filled them with chocolate because I didn't think the pie would last. (And my dear husband thought the boxes weren't big enough for pie... He likes a large slice.)

See that kraft feather? Once I was done with the pom pom maker (they always say it was easy, but now I believe it.) I used my four feathers framelit & cut co-ordinating feathers... (I will be showing you some more cards I made with them in a couple days here.)

Here is a picture of the other stamp beauties that came with this kit. There is no such thing as too much pie in a beautiful curvy font & Thankful for you, which is appropriate all year long!

And I made 7 of the pie boxes. Pretty much how they showed to do it.

Then I turned around to make a card.

I hummed.

I mused.

And then AHA!

The sailboat base is the the sticky piece that holds the pie box shut. I did sweet nothing to it. True to Paper Pumpkin style, they sent lots of feathers & yarn, so I got to use it for other fun crafting.

The only supplies I needed were the cardstock for the base & layers & the flag for the 'happy birthday' sentiment.

I made some more quick cutie sailboat baby cards. They are coming in a couple days!
Happy stamping,

  1. The pie stuff doesn't grab me but I do like the cards.
